Nonprofits May Need To Spend About One-Third Of Their Budget On Overhead To Thrive – Contradicting A Rule Of Thumb For Donors

Nonprofits that spend more on information technology, facilities, equipment, staff training, program development and fundraising tend to be more successful than those that scrimp on these"overhead expenses.“ But many donors are reluctant to support groups that spend heavily on those priorities because they associate high overhead costs with wasted money and bad management.

Outlook Enrichment To Receive Donations From Fareway’s Round Up Program

Fareway patrons at all six Omaha metro locations will be offered the opportunity this week to “round up” to the nearest dollar and make additional contributions at the register to support the programs and services of Outlook Enrichment, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing resources for individuals with vision loss.

The round up campaign begins Monday, Sept. 12 and ends Saturday, Sept. 17.

The Kim Foundation Calls On Community Members To Help Prevent Suicide This September

It Takes A Village To Put On A Fashion Show

Omaha Fashion Week has quickly become one of Omaha’s largest events. With two shows a year, one in the spring and one in the fall, OFW has earned its spot as the 4th largest fashion show in the country and has an impressive list of sponsors such as Tito’s Vodka, Develop Model Management, and Milan Laser Hair Removal. However, it would be impossible for all this to happen if it wasn’t for all of the volunteers OFW has gained over the years.

American Cancer Society Big Dig Provides Day Of Fun For Children

Omaha, NE – Sunday, September 11, 2022, the Omaha Metro community will have the opportunity to explore excavators, backhoes, scissor lifts and many other pieces of large equipment at the Big Dig, an event that supports the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge Nebraska located in Omaha. The event will run from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the site on Hwy 370 & 150th Street. This event is free and open to the public.
