SPECIAL MEETING 

THURSDAY, AUGUST 6, 2026

1. Call Meeting to Order-Acknowledge Open Meetings Law Harvey called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.

 

2. Publication of Meeting - Notice of the meeting was published in the July 20, 2026 edition of The Daily Record and posted in the display case outside the administration center, at the Plattsmouth location of the U.S. Postal Service, and on the district website at www.pcsd.org.

 

3. Pledge of Allegiance - Harvey led the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

4. Roll Call: Foster, Harvey, Muller, Shuey, Winters, Gradoville, Miller Pearson, Timm All were present.

 

5. Public Forum/Reception of Delegates: 

Public Forum: Reception of Delegates - For all meetings of the Board, individual speakers shall have up to 3 minutes to address the Board, and the Board shall hear up to 30 cumulative minutes of public comment. The Board may vote to modify these time limits when the Board deems appropriate. The President may implement other reasonable requirements for public comment consistent with the Open Meetings Act.

 

While the public forum is an opportunity for members of the public to speak during the meeting, there will not be back-and-forth discussions between members of the public and Board of Education members. 

No one addressed the Board.

7. Adjournment – Harvey adjourned the meeting at 8:55 PM.

NOTICE OF MEETING

 

NOTICE is hereby given, in compliance with the provisions of Section 5 of 2023 Neb. Laws 243, that the Board of Education for Plattsmouth Community Schools will hold a special meeting on the 31st day of August 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Plattsmouth Schools Administration Center, 1912 Old Highway 34, Plattsmouth NE 68048 to discuss, consider, and possibly vote to approve an increase to the school district’s property tax request authority by an additional six percent, or other maximum amount as permitted by law, above the base growth percentage. Other items may also be on the agenda for this special meeting. The meeting is open to the public, and an agenda for the special meeting shall be kept continually current and is readily available for public inspection at the Superintendent’s office during normal business hours and at www.pcsd.org.
