Creighton Shuts Down Campus

Creighton University President the Rev. Daniel S. Hendrickson, announced that, due to the spread of the coronavirus, Creighton’s Omaha campus closed Tuesday to all students, faculty, staff and visitors, except for mission-critical employees and approved students.

Creighton’s Omaha campus will remain closed until further notice.

Lincoln – Health experts who are advising Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts warned that the state is only in “the second inning” of its struggle against the outbreak, and more deaths are expected.

Omaha Has 366 Ventilators

Dr. Adi Pour, the director of the Douglas County Health Department, said the local community has capacity available for a rise in COVID-19 cases.

As of Friday afternoon, Omaha had 632 hospital beds, with 53% of them open, and 366 ventilators, with three taken by COVID-19 patients and 89 by others. “We have quite a capacity of ventilators in this community,” Pour said.

NePA Offers Two Webex CLEs

Telecom Companies Respond To COVID-19 by Waiving Fees

Lincoln – Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts recently thanked telecommunications companies for stepping up in response to COVID-19.
