Clinic at UNO Collecting Swabs
Nebraska Medicine has launched a COVID-19 test specimen collection point at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
A drive-through swab site is open only to those who have a testing lab order from Nebraska Medicine or its clinical partners. It is located in Lot M, immediately west of the Weitz Community Engagement Center, and Lot N, the garage area of the Health & Kinesiology building on UNO’s Dodge Campus.
“The purpose of the clinic is to divert testing away from the vulnerable patients and staff at Nebraska Medical Center, Bellevue Medical Center, and other Nebraska Medicine health centers throughout the community,” UNO said in an campus announcement. “It is a safe and convenient way to collect samples for testing away from those patient care areas.”
Patients are asked to arrive to campus at the 67th Street entrance off Dodge Street. Wayfinding signage is posted along the route to clinic to ensure patients do not get lost on campus. Patients have been told to stay in their vehicles with the windows rolled up at all times
UNO Public Safety officers will help direct patients and to ensure they remain in their vehicles.
