Telecom Companies Respond To COVID-19 by Waiving Fees
Lincoln – Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts recently thanked telecommunications companies for stepping up in response to COVID-19.
“Businesses across the country are stepping up to help fight the coronavirus pandemic,” he said. “Thank you to the telecommunications companies that are joining this fight to help support our households, businesses, and community organizations during this time.”
CenturyLink is waving late fees and not terminating service to residential or small business customers for 60 days starting March 13.
Cox Communications is opening over 500 Cox outdoor Wi-Fi hotspots across greater Omaha and eliminating data usage overages for a 60-day period starting March 16.
Verizon is not terminating service through May 13 and is waiving late fees for residential and small business customers. It also donated $5 million to the Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign.
