Property Management is a liability rich endeavor. In fact, the National Apartment Association’s Education Institute (NAAEI) offers a Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) course, and there is one full module on “Risk Management.” It is in fact, a FIVE-hour module. As with all NAAEI programs, the CAM program is worth your consideration.

More than 230 of the world’s wealthiest people, including Elon Musk, Bill Gates and Warren Buffett, have promised to give at least half of their fortunes to charity within their lifetimes or in their wills by signing the Giving Pledge. Some of the most affluent, including Jeff Bezos – who hadn’t signed the Giving Pledge by early 2023 – and MacKenzie Scott, his ex-wife – have declared that they will go further by giving most of their fortunes to charity before they die.

Technology is increasingly getting smaller and more capable. This has allowed people to conveniently do banking, bill payments, shopping, and visit social media while going out and about in public. Although this has certainly made life easier and more convenient, it also raises quite a few concerns regarding one’s privacy and security.

As an expert in media and cultural studies, I once appeared in a television series about technology in the home during the last three decades of the 20th century.
I wanted to suggest that the UK in the 1970s should be remembered as a decade of relative social equality and contentment, where wage inequality was at its lowest (as the New Earnings Survey shows us).

The 2022 Word of the Year, as chosen by our lexicographic friends at the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, is “gaslighting.” The dictionary bases its decision on the number of lookups the word gets, and for gaslighting that was an increase of 1,740%.
