Notice of Public Meeting of the Committee to Appoint

Douglas County Commissioner

for District 1

Notice is hereby given that on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, the Committee to Appoint Douglas County Commissioner for District 1, will meet at 1:30 p.m.  The meeting will be held at the Omaha-Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam, Room 702, Omaha, NE.  The meeting will be open to the general public.

The Committee will meet to appoint a Chair of the Committee, designate a method of notice for future meetings, review applications, determine a list of applicants to be interviewed, and determine the interview process. 

The meeting agenda, kept continually current, will be readily available for public inspection in the County Clerk/Comptroller’s Office in the Civic Center during normal business hours.  Also available for public inspection will be any corresponding documentation that is provided to the Committee prior to the meeting.  Except for items of an emergency nature, the agendas shall not be enlarged later than 24 hours before the scheduled meeting commencement.  The Committee has the right to modify its agenda to include items of an emergency nature only when the meeting is in session.

NOTICE

The Board of Equalization in Douglas County, is hereby giving Public Notice, in compliance with the provisions of Nebraska State Statute Section 77-1601 and 77-1601.02, that the governing body will hold a special meeting, if necessary, on October 15, 2021, at 8:00 a.m. in the Legislative Chamber, Omaha-Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska, for the purpose of approving an adjustment to the property tax request(s) that were previously approved by the Board of Equalization on October 12, 2021.
