The North Omaha “Turnback Tax” Grant Committee will hold a public hearing on Monday, November 1, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. on the Farnam level of the City/County building at 1819 Farnam Street. Attendees should enter the building through the entrance on Farnam Street. The public hearing will be held to interview applicants for the two appointed resident member positions on the North Omaha Turnback Tax Grant Committee. The North Omaha Turnback Tax Grant Committee distributes funds that 1) showcase important historical aspects, or 2) assist with the reduction of street and gang violence, or 3) assist with small business and entrepreneurship growth within defined areas within North Omaha with a high concentration of poverty.
