Lincoln – Nebraska Department of Transportation officials said that statewide traffic volumes from the first week of April held steady from March reports. Volumes showed a slight uptick in statewide vehicle traffic from a 29% decrease March 22-28 to a 28% decrease in the first week of April compared to the 2016-2018 three-year average.

Bellevue – The City of Bellevue has announced that separate yard waste collection will be delayed until at least May 1. City residents may continue to use both blue trash carts and brown yard waste carts for landfill trash and/or yard waste material, including brown bio bags. Both of these carts will be collected as landfill trash. No items will be collected outside the carts.

The Douglas County Jail has no cases of COVID-19 among its staff and inmate population, Corrections Director Mike Myers told county commissioners last Tuesday.
“We are doing everything that we know to do to try to prevent and, if and when prevention is no longer possible, to contain,” Myers said.
