Rep. Don Bacon, R-Neb., coordinated the donation of 10,000 surgical masks by the Nebraska Chinese Association to health care businesses and first responders.

“My team got on the phone right away and discovered that our community health centers and county sheriff’s departments could use these masks, so they made arrangements to have them delivered,” Bacon said. “This donation is a reflection of the Nebraska attitude and American spirit as we work together to fight this pandemic.”

Four thousand masks each were given to the Charles Drew Health Center and One World Community Health Centers. A thousand masks each were given to the Douglas and Sarpy county sheriff’s departments.
