Westside Community Schools (hereinafter referred to as “the District” or “WCS”) invites bids on:

 

Gymnasium AHU Replacement

Westbrook Elementary School

Bids are to be made on the bid form enclosed. One completed copy of the bid form is to be returned to the School District signed by the bidder.

Documents will be available between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. All bidders who require hard copies of bid documents shall place an order directly with A & D Technical Supply and shall pay all costs associated with printing and if applicable, all shipping costs. Only full and complete sets will be printed - partial set orders are not allowed. Hard copy bid documents do not need to be returned as no refund will be issued.

 

PART 1 - BIDDING INFORMATION

 

1.1         SCOPE OF THE PROJECT

 

Westbrook Elementary School has three existing air-handling units serving the gymnasium. WCS desires to replace these systems as they are near the end of their useful life and experiencing major failures. The project includes but is not limited to the following major elements:

 

Removal of the existing air-handling units.

Removal of existing hydronic piping to accommodate AHU replacement.

Removal of existing relief fans.

General demolition to accommodate project.

Installation of two new air-handling units.

Installation of new hydronic piping.

Installation of new motorized dampers.

Installation of new relief fans.

Installation of new DDC system.

Commissioning new equipment and controls.

Electrical modifications to accommodate new mechanical equipment.

Structural modifications to accommodate new mechanical equipment.

General Construction to accommodate new mechanical equipment.
