The University of Nebraska at Omaha was nationally recognized as a top destination for military affiliated students and their families.

Military Times ranked UNO third nationally among four-year institutions on its Best for Vets: Colleges 2020 rankings. UNO has been consistently ranked in the top 10 nationally since 2012.

“Military affiliated students choose UNO for its access to exceptional education and resources as well as its history of military-inclusivity,” said Javier Saldana, co-interim director of retention and recruitment in the UNO Office of Military and Veteran Services. 

Kirsten Omoto, the other co-interim director, said UNO is set apart by its culture of care and its efforts to help student veterans bridge separation from the military to civilian employment.

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln finished 34th, while Bellevue University was eighth for online and nontraditional schools.
