NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON

APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL RESOURCES

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on May 7, 2024 in the East Meeting Room of the Omaha Public Library at 13214 Westwood Lane Omaha, NE 68144, 192 Q, LLC will hold a public hearing concerning an application to the Department of Economic Development for a Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) award. This funding is available to eligible entities to rebuild the affected areas impacted by DR-4420 and provide crucial seed money to start the recovery process.

The 192 Q, LLC is requesting $2,000,000 of CDBG-DR for a 88 unit project consisting of a new construction multifamily building for seniors, south of Adams Street and west of 192nd Street.  Senior housing is scarce in the southwest quadrant of Omaha.  Address is 6441 S 193rd Avenue Omaha, NE 68135.  $2,000,000 will be for the benefit of people below 60% of the Area Median Income.  No residents or businesses will be displaced due to this project.  The project will also consist of $11,722,928 from the proceeds of LIHTC and AHTCs, $437,500 from deferred developer fees, $931,211 from managing member contributions and $3,500,000 from a conventional mortgage.

The grant application will available for public inspection at the east meeting room of the Omaha Public Library. All interested parties are invited to attend this public hearing at which time you will have an opportunity to be heard regarding the grant application. Written testimony will also be accepted at the public hearing scheduled for 1:00 PM, May 7, 2024, at Omaha Public Library at 13214 Westwood Lane Omaha, NE 68144.  Written comments addressed to Rob Woodling at 1886 South 126th Street Omaha, NE 68144 will be accepted if received on or before May 7, 2024 at 1:00 PM.
