Senators Ask More of Ricketts
Lincoln – A bipartisan group of state senators called on Gov. Pete Ricketts to strengthen protections for state and public workers. They cited concerns from constituents responding to COVID-19.
The letter asks for grocery store workers, pharmacy workers, and food production workers to be considered front-line emergency service providers; to allow every state employee possible to work from home; and to issue a proclamation or guidance to businesses to promote proper social distancing, work from home policies, adopting additional health and screening practices, and expanding personnel and leave practices.
