31 YEARS-NOT EVEN A PANDEMIC STOPPED US

Not too many things last 31 YEARS. How many phones and computers have you gone through in that time? Hey, for that matter how many wives, husbands or girl or boyfriends have you tossed aside in that time?

This tournament has survived turmoil, political infighting, lazy dysfunctional secretaries, and a pandemic. We’re not going anywhere!

Take the afternoon off. Give your staff the afternoon off and join the Sarpy County Bar Association’s Get Off Your Dead Ass and Socialize With Your Brethren golf tournament (That’s of course the acronym that slips right off your tongue GOYDAASWYB) a tournament that kicked off in 1992.

Come join your friends, associates and adversaries in something fun. It’s a scramble golf tournament (that means you can suck and almost no one cares) and then walk a few steps to the pavilion and have steaks, chicken or fish and the best meal you’ll have at a golf tournament, and over $5,000.00 in prizes (most not based on golfing ability so again sucking doesn’t matter).

Hey, most of you have embarrassed yourself much worse in the courtroom or your personal life. This is a chance to blame your inadequacies on the weather, the course, your teammates, the alcohol or all of the above.

Find your own foursome, or we’ll pair you up. Make new friends or enemies in a relaxed environment. Next time you see these people in court it will be like imagining them in their underwear. Or you will imagine them in their underwear because the thought of their golfing is too horrific.

Date: Friday September 9th, rain or shine.

Time: 1:00 p.m.

Location: Eagle Hills Golf Club, 52nd and Cornhusker.

Cost: $90.00 per person, $25.00 per extra dinner. You can bring a husband, wife, girlfriend, significant other, or paid escort (preferably only one of the above). Tell me where you can eat and drink like this for $25.00 thanks to the great work of the host and his cast of chef’s (John Hascall, Tim Krajicek, Dennis Marks, and Bob Hrbek) and drink tickets provided by Piv and Glenn Shapiro.

Dinner: At the Golf Course, (rain or shine on this since they can accommodate 125 inside if the weather is a little off). Hors D’voures start at about 6:00.
