Maintaining an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau for 12 years, Re-Bath of the Heartland has proven its dedication to customer satisfaction and excellence.
As another reward, the company has been named May’s Small Business of the Month by the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce.
Re-Bath is known for remodeling bathrooms for homeowners quickly and efficiently.
“We are a complete remodel contracting company,” Marketing Manager Dana Nuzum said. “Before we install anything, we tear down to the studs and make sure there isn’t anything you need to be aware of.”
With licensed, insured plumbers and technicians working for Re-Bath, they ensure that everything is first up to code and working properly before installing the new bathroom materials.
“That’s how it should be,” Nuzum said. “That shouldn’t be the exception to the rule. So, at Re-Bath that’s how it is.”
Nuzum said the team dynamic is, “really amazing … our growth has just been fantastic.”
Lead by Matt Croteau, Nuzum attributes their team dynamic to his spirit and personality. As a youth leader in his spare time, Nuzum said Croteau “is so infective in his positivity, the way he celebrates his staff and treats us all like family.”
“It really is an honor to have won the Chamber’s Small Business of the Month Award because there are so many construction companies in Omaha,” Nuzum said, “so to have that recognition that we’re doing something big and awesome even though we’re small … that’s grand.”
As an active member in the Chamber herself, Nuzum has enjoyed the Chamber events as well as the perks of networking with other leaders in business.
“(The Chamber) has broadened my horizons to meet new people outside of the construction industry,” she said
While building the Re-Bath network, Nuzum has not only been acquiring business; she was inspired herself to “start a whole customer experience program, learning about how other companies run their processes and run their businesses” so that she might improve Re-Bath’s processes if necessary.
“I feel like every business should be a member of the Chamber,” she said.
As a branch of a national corporation, Re-Bath has constant access to new research and development happening within the industry. With proprietary materials used for their custom installations, Re-Bath’s DuraBath solutions are guaranteed to be moisture-free for life.
Creating a premium material is only one aspect of the business, however.
Re-Bath’s focus is not just to cover up unsightly old materials or replace fixtures; they ensure that every square inch of the bathroom is both safe and up to code.
While some remodeling jobs can seem to drag on for months at a time, Re-Bath has eliminated long waiting times for their customers by customizing and designing every element of their new bathrooms in-house.
Once the bathrooms have been designed and all the materials have been compiled, construction is typically completed in anywhere between three and five days.
The reason many companies can’t achieve this, Nuzum explained, is because they employ the laborers instead of using subcontractors. They can schedule every necessary team member in a timely manner to streamline the process of construction.
During construction, however, the Re-Bath team sets themselves apart because of their consummate professionalism.
“We never leave a bathroom that doesn’t have a working toilet,” Nuzum said. “Our guys actually put drop cloth throughout the house so that they’re not tracking anything.”
They even go the extra mile to vacuum up after themselves.
Some customers have said, in fact, that they left the house cleaner than it was when they came.
One contractor was even reviewed as being sorely missed once the job was done, because he sang country songs in a lovely baritone while he worked, filling the house with song.
“We get great feedback from our customers and hearing stories like that makes me really happy,” Nuzum said beaming.
For those looking to stay in their homes for as long as possible, Re-Bath also takes pride in their construction of handicap accessibility bathrooms. This is an extremely important task, as it lends a helping hand to seniors in a vulnerable space.
“You’re not just designing a bathroom when you’re designing an ADA bathroom,” Nuzum said. “It’s something special, because you’re giving that person their dignity, their hope and more time in their own home.”
Community is essential to the success of the business, so Re-Bath likes to give back to the community by donating an accessibility remodel each year to a chosen member of the Multiple Sclerosis Society. They also donate the demo cabinets, fixtures and knobs to Habitat for Humanity.
