1.  Call Meeting to Order - This Committee on American Civics meeting of the Plattsmouth Community Schools Board of Education is called to order on Jan. 9, 2025 at 5:03 PM in the Plattsmouth Community Schools Administration Center Boardroom at 1912 Old Hwy. 34, Plattsmouth, NE.

2.  Acknowledge Open Meetings Law posted on the wall in the boardroom.

3.  Publication of Meeting - Notice of the meeting was published in the Dec. 20, 2024 edition of The Daily Record, posted in the display case outside the administration center, at the Plattsmouth location of the U.S. Postal Service, and on the district website at www.pcsd.org.

4.  Pledge of Allegiance - Chair Shuey led the Pledge of Allegiance.

5.  Roll Call: Muller, Shuey, Woracek - Shuey and Woracek were present. Muller was excused due to his absence that was approved by our Board of Education at the Dec. 9, 2024 Board of Education meeting.

6.  Discuss and review the social studies curriculum to ensure alignment with the Nebraska Department of Education standards and LB 399.

Dr. Larson discussed alignment of the social studies curriculum.

6.1.  Chair Shuey opened the hearing for public input at 5:07 PM.

6.2.  Chair Shuey closed the hearing at 5:09 PM.

7.  Adjournment - Chair Shuey adjourned the meeting at 5:10 PM.
