Omaha was named No. 36 on a list of the top 100 U.S. cities to live, work and visit by Resonance Consultancy, the Greater Omaha Chamber recently announced.

There are more than 19,000 cities, towns and villages in the U.S., data-and-insights organization Statista said, making a top-100 ranking noteworthy.

Omaha shares the upper tier with such metros as New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Diego, Phoenix, Denver and Seattle, among others.

Omaha also outpaces nearly all other regions when it comes to “prosperity” – earning the No.5 ranking in this category, Resonance Consultancy concluded.
