Omaha’s among the best large cities for plumbers in the country.

A recent analysis conducted by insurance research company AdvisorSmith found that Omaha was the No. 3 large city for plumbers among those with 500,000 or more people. Omaha is 28th overall, finishing just behind Chicago.

Lincoln finished No. 112, while Kansas City was No. 40 overall.

The analysis considered average annual salary, total plumber jobs, location quotient and cost of living. Omaha has 46% more jobs for plumbers on a per-capita basis compared to the U.S. average.

Omaha plumbers make an average salary of $61,650, which is 6% higher than the average.
