MILLARD PUBLIC SCHOOLS ELECTION

Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, the 14th day of March, 2023 in the Millard Public School District, Douglas and Sarpy Counties, Nebraska, a special election will be held. The election will be by mail; therefore, no polling places will be open for voting. Said election will be held for the registered voters of Douglas and Sarpy Counties who reside within the Millard Public School District who will approve or reject the following proposition:
PROPOSITION
Shall the Millard Public Schools (School District No. 17, Douglas County, Nebraska) be allowed to continue to levy a property tax not to exceed nine (9) cents per one hundred dollars of taxable valuation in excess of the limits prescribed by law for fiscal years 2023-2024 through 2027-2028 for purposes of general operations?

By-Mail Election
This election will be an election by mail. All registered voters currently residing within the Millard Public School District will receive their ballot by mail, and therefore, no polling places will be open for voting. Ballots will be mailed by the Douglas County Election Commission and Sarpy County Election Commission between Tuesday, February 21 and Friday, March 3, 2023.
Voter Registration Deadlines
Residents within the district and Douglas County must register at the Douglas County Election Commission.
Residents within the district and Sarpy County must register at the Sarpy County Election Commission.
The deadline to register to vote online, at an agency, with a deputy registrar, or by mail is Friday, February 24, 2023.
The deadline for in-person registration at the respective election office is Friday, March 3, 2023 at 6:00 p.m.
Ballot Return Deadline
All voted ballots must be received by the respective election office no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.
Ballots voted by Douglas County voters must be delivered or mailed to the Douglas County Election Commission at 12220 W Center Road, Omaha, Nebraska 68144 or placed in a Douglas County Election Commission official ballot drop box. Drop box locations available for this election are as follows:

Ballots voted by Sarpy County voters must be delivered or mailed to the Sarpy County Election Commission at 1102 E 1st Street, Suite #1, Papillion, Nebraska 68046 or placed in a Sarpy County Election Commission official ballot drop box. Drop box locations available for this election are as follows:
