Legislative Health, Human Services Committee to Hold Nine Confirmation Hearings by Teleconference

Lincoln – The Legislature’s Health and Human Services Committee will hold confirmation hearings for gubernatorial appointees to three state boards and commissions May 27 and 29.

The appointments for May 27 at 9 a.m. are:

• Marty Fattig, Rural Health Advisory Commission

• Lynette Kramer, Rural Health Advisory Commission

• Jessye Goertz, Rural Health Advisory Commission

• April Dexter, Rural Health Advisory Commission

The appointments for May 29 at 2 p.m. are:

• Ben Iske, Rural Health Advisory Commission

• Sandra Torres, Rural Health Advisory Commission

The appointments for May 29 at 2:30 p.m. are:

• Rui Yi, Stem Cell Research Advisory Committee

• Daniel Rosenthal, State Board of Health

• Carolyn Petersen, Board of EMS

Due to health and safety concerns regarding the novel coronavirus pandemic, confirmation hearings will take place with appointees participating via teleconference. A link will be provided at nebraskalegislature.gov on each day so that the public may observe the proceedings.

 Comments regarding appointments may be sent via email to the Committee Clerk Sherry Shaffer at sshaffer@leg.ne.gov no later than 24 hours prior to the hearing. Testimony regarding the appointments will be allowed at a later date to be announced.
