Heartland Workforce Solutions to Host Online Business Workshops
Heartland Workforce Solutions is hosting a monthly series of better business workshops starting this afternoon.
Sessions will take place on the third Thursday of each month from 1 to 2 p.m. through October. They will feature local business experts assisting small businesses in discovering trends and updates.
“Small businesses provide meaningful jobs and foster our local economy,” HWS Executive Director Erin Porterfield said in a news release. “The more we can help assist small business owners succeed, the better off our community will be.”
Last Thursday’s session taught small business owners how to hire and retain individuals with disabilities. Nebraska VR, a group that helps people with disabilities access employment while helping businesses recruit, train and retain employees with disabilities, was the presenter.
