Greater Omaha Chamber Plans Awards for Annual Meeting

The Greater Omaha Chamber will present several awards at its upcoming 2020 annual meeting
U.S. Strategic Command is the chamber’s Headliner of the Year, earning nearly 13,000 news media stories since Jan. 1, 2019, according to Universal Information Services. The command opened its new headquarters this year.
Mogens C. Bay, chairman of Valmont Industries Inc. and Kenneth E. Stinson, chairman emeritus of Peter Kiewit Sons’ Inc. will be named Volunteers of the Year.
Jason Gustafson, vice president of Commercial Banking, UMB Bank, will be the recipient of the Chairman’s Award.
“Catalytic change agents and great leaders propel our community,” Greater Omaha Chamber President and CEO David G. Brown said in a news release. “We look forward to recognizing the 2019 accomplishments of these community-enhancing institutions and individuals.”
The annual meeting runs 4 to 6 p.m. on Jan. 23 at CHI Health Center Omaha. Tickets for open seating are $120 for chamber members and $145 for nonmembers. Parking, appetizers and drinks are included in admission.
