Federal Courthouse Clerk's Office Closes Counters to Public
The Clerk’s Office for the U.S. District Court of Nebraska has closed its public counters in response to the pandemic.
The office has set up a drop box on the first floor of the Hruska Federal Courthouse in Omaha and the first floor of the Denney Federal Building in Lincoln to receive any documents that cannot be filed electronically. Items will be collected on Mondays and Thursdays in Omaha and Mondays in Lincoln.
Money should not be left in the drop box, the office said in a public notice. Instead, checks and money orders should be mailed to the Clerk’s Office at 111 S. 18th Plaza, Suite 1152, Omaha, NE 68102.
Cash will not be accepted until normal operations resume. Credit card payments may be made over the phone. For assistance, call the Omaha office at 866-220-4381 or the Lincoln office at 866-221-4379.
Assistance with other inquiries can be received by emailing the office at ecfhelp@ned.uscourts.gov.
