The Douglas County Audit Committee will meet on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. in the room 903 of the Omaha-Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, NE.   A copy of the Open Meetings Act is available.  The agenda is kept continually current and made available by the Director of Finance for Douglas County, Nebraska, LC 2 Civic Center, during normal business hours.  Any agenda item may be moved at any time at the discretion of the Committee Chair. Executive Session: We reserve the right to enter an executive session in order to protect the public interest with respect to discussions as permitted by Neb.Rev.Stat. §84-1410.

The Douglas County Board of Health will meet at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 1819 Farnam St., Legislative Chambers, LC-4, Omaha, Nebraska. The proposed agenda, which shall be kept continuously current, shall be available at the office of the Health Director during normal business hours. This board reserves the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only while the meeting is in session. The administrative committee may meet on the fourth Tuesday of the month.

TURNBACK TAX COMMITTEE

NOTICE

The North Omaha “Turnback Tax” Grant Committee will hold a public hearing on Monday, September 14, 2026 at 5:00 pm at Urban League of Nebraska, 3040 Lake Street, Omaha, NE 68111. The event can also be accessed virtually via Zoom (link and instructions below). The public hearing will be held to receive public comment on grant proposals that 1) showcase important historical aspects, or 2) assist with the reduction of street and gang violence, or 3) assist with small business and entrepreneurship growth within defined areas within North Omaha. The grant application, including eligibility criteria and instructions to request “Turnback Tax” grant funds, will be posted on or about September 4, 2026 at https://www.douglascounty-ne.gov/ and https://www.cityofomaha.org/.
