Patrick Leahy did not respond to The Daily Record’s request to complete a questionnaire.

Leahy describes four goals on his campaign website: serving front-line workers; supporting and keeping city services; encouraging economic development and jobs; and listening to the public and supporting evidence-based solutions.

“Omaha needs steady leadership to make Omaha Better,” Leahy said on the website. “My work as a healthcare architect and urban planner gives me unique knowledge and skills to develop solutions.”

Asked by the League of Women Voters of Greater Omaha about police reform, Leahy said he has 100% support for Omaha police. He would support community policing, more training, correct health and safety equipment, and behavioral health assessments of suspects.

Leahy told The Omaha World-Herald that he has experience in financial and construction planning as well as community and economic development.

“I know how to build consensus with large groups,” he told the newspaper.
