YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that Douglas County, Nebraska shall receive sealed bids on a Construction Contract including roofing removal and replacement work at the Douglas County Correctional Center, at 710 S 17th Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68102; that said bids shall be received by the Owner until 11:00 a.m. central time on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 to the attention of the City of Omaha Clerk, Douglas County Civic Center, LC1 Offices, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be opened at the regularly scheduled Bid Opening meeting in the Legislative Chambers after submission of Bids on Wednesday, September 21, 2022.
Bids must be on a Lump Sum basis and shall be in accord with the Instructions to Bidders.
Materials to be incorporated into the complete project shall be purchased tax exempt in the name of the Owner, and the Bidder shall exclude from his Bid all State of Nebraska and Local Option Sales and Use Tax for such materials in accordance with the General and Supplementary Conditions of the Contract for Construction.
A Pre-Bid Conference, tour of the roof and existing occupied spaces below will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at the Douglas County Corrections Center, 710 S 17th Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68102. All Bidders and sub-bidders are strongly encouraged to be present. There is no other time scheduled to allow bidder access to the roof areas. A mask will be required for use during the conference and walkthrough.
Questions and substitution requests must be submitted in writing and received to bidquestions@douglascounty-ne.gov no later than Wednesday, September 14, 2022. Items received after this date will not be considered. Addenda will not be issued after Friday, September 16, 2022.
Bidding documents may be examined at the office of the Architect, CARLSON WEST POVONDRA ARCHITECTS, 5060 DODGE STREET, OMAHA, NEBRASKA 68132-2966, with advanced notice, and at the following exchanges after Wednesday, August 31, 2022:

Bidders may obtain Bidding Documents at the office of the printer, A&D Technical Supply, 4320 South 89th Street, Omaha, Nebraska, 68127, (402) 592-4950 between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 12:00 noon and 1:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. The Bid Documents, and any subsequent addenda, will be issued in PDF format by A&D at a cost of $25. Hard copy prints will be issued as requested, and at the bidder’s own expense. Plans and Plan-holder lists can be viewed online at www.adtechplans.com.
There are no guarantees to accuracy of bidding documents examined or obtained through any other source than the above listed.
Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accord with the Instructions to Bidders.
A bid bond executed by a duly authorized surety and in appropriate form may be submitted in lieu of the deposit of money or certified check. All deposits of money, certified checks or bid bonds must be submitted in separate sealed envelopes plainly identified. The deposit money, certified check or bid bond will be held as surety as to assure that the bidder will enter into a contract and furnish the required performance and payment bonds. The bid security should be made payable to Douglas County Treasurer. The deposit money, certified checks or bids bonds of the unsuccessful bidders shall be returned as soon as the successful bidder is determined. The deposit of money, certified check or bid bond of the successful bidder shall be returned upon the execution of the contract documents.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive informalities or irregularities in the bidding.

Sealed bids for the renovation/construction of the City of Omaha – Lee Valley Pool Drain Sanitary Sewer Construction, 10605 Charles Street, Omaha, NE, are invited and will be received on or before the bid opening date, 11:00 A.M. on: Wednesday, September 14, 2022, as per the project’s specifications.
Sealed bids to be addressed to Elizabeth Butler, City Clerk, LC-1, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, marked BID ON: “City of Omaha – Lee Valley Pool Drain Sanitary Sewer Construction”, must be in her office on or before 11:00 A.M. on: Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at which time the bids will be opened and read by the City Clerk before the Bid Opening Committee and the public in LC-4, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center.
Plans and Specifications may be examined and obtained at the offices of the following printers: A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc., 4320 South 89th Street, Omaha, NE 68127 (402-592-4950), and Standard Digital Imaging, 4426 South 108th Street, Omaha, NE 68137 (800-642-8062) on or after Wednesday, August 31, 2022. Bidders may view the contract documents (plans & specifications, etc.) on the project free of charge from their websites. Electronic or hard copy prints of all contract documents may be obtained from any one of them by contacting them directly and placing an order. All costs for contract document production will be directly billed by the printer to the requesting company and not to the issuer of this bidding opportunity. Potential bidders may receive special pricing for the printing of hard copies of the contract documents. Contact the printer for the cost associated with your request.

There will be a non-mandatory, pre-bid meeting on Tuesday, September 6th, 2022, at 11 A.M.. The meeting will be held at the project site, 10605 Charles Street, Omaha, NE. Meeting will be held rain or shine.
This project has an SEB reserve for ESB and SB Tier 1 & 2 categories for 0% of the total bid amount. For additional information see Specification Section 00 20 00, ‘Instructions to Bidders”, Part 2.16, “Utilization of Small and Emerging Small Business”.
This project does not require the bidder to submit an Economic Equity and Inclusion Program (EEIP) Plan or an approved EEIP Certificate with their bid.
As evidence of good faith and guarantee that contract will be entered into should award be made thereon, a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany bid. The bid bond or certified check shall be made payable to the “City of Omaha”. Failure to do so will be cause for rejection. City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in whole or in part, and the bidders shall have the right to appeal any decision to the City Council.
