The Omaha Airport Authority, Omaha, Nebraska will receive Bids for the project titled CCTV CAMERA UPGRADE TO NORTH GARAGE – 3RD FLOOR.  Combined construction will include installation of conduit, pull boxes, data cabling, fiber optic cabling, physical installation of cameras and miscellaneous Items.  Substantial Completion of the project must be completed within the contract times indicated below:

Substantial completion of the project must be achieved within 52 (Fifty-two) working days of a start date which shall be identified in the Notice to Proceed letter and which shall be agreed upon between the Owner and the Contractor.

Sealed bids will be received until 9:00 a.m., on September 6, 2022, in the Airport Authority offices, Second Level, Eppley Airfield Terminal Building, Omaha, Nebraska, at which time and place they will be opened and read aloud.

A project review conference will be held at 2:00 p.m. on August 22, 2022, in the office of the Omaha Airport Authority, Eppley Airfield, Omaha, Nebraska.  A site inspection will follow the project review conference.

A bid bond in the amount of not less than 5% of the total bid is required.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

INDUSTRIAL ON FORT

REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT PLAN

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will meet and hold a public hearing on August 23, 2022, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183 for the purpose of hearing testimony for:

Industrial on Fort Redevelopment Project Plan.

Applicant: CRK Construction LLC

Location: 1215 Fort Street

The redevelopment project proposes the new construction of a 66,000 square foot industrial building with 14 leasable bays.

The Planning Board recommended approval of this Redevelopment Project Plan at the June 1, 2022 public hearing.

The Redevelopment Project Plan authorizes the City’s participation in the redevelopment of this project site through the allocation of TIF in an amount up to $1,227,069.00, which includes capitalized interest, and additional funds up to $300,000.00, as may be available, to offset costs of future public improvements in the immediate vicinity of the project, including infrastructure improvements within the adjacent 13th Street right of way. TIF loan proceeds will be used to offset eligible expenses such as acquisition, demolition, site preparation, architectural and engineering costs and other public improvements as required. The total estimated project costs are $6,304,081.00, but are subject to change as final costs come in.

A copy of said plan is available for public inspection in the City Clerk’s Office.

NOTICE INVITING BID

Project Houseworks is seeking bids from qualified licensed contractors for new re roof, gutter, downspout and extensions install, soffit and fascia replacement one(1) residential homes in Omaha, Nebraska.  If interested, the Scope of Work can be obtained by contacting Dan Verespej at Project Houseworks:  dan@projecthouseworks.org.   Deadline for proposals is Friday, August 12th at 3:00PM.

Sealed bids are invited and will be received on or before the closing time.  Sealed bids to be addressed to Project Houseworks (2316 S 24th Street, Omaha NE 68108) marked “Bid on Roof Project”, with address identified, must be on file in the office by 3:00 P.M. on the closing date, at which time the bids will be opened and read by Project Houseworks.

Attention is called to the fact not less than minimum salaries and wages as specified by the U.S. Secretary of Labor as set forth in the specification may be paid on the roofing/gutter work.  The contractor must, furthermore, insure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color or creed, sex or national origin.

The bidder must file a certificate of insurance with Project Houseworks evidencing comprehensive public liability insurance coverage protecting the property owner for not less than 1,000,000 per occurrence, 2,000,000 aggregate arising out of work performed by the contractor.  Evidence of workman’s compensation insurance must be shown prior to receipt of the order to proceed with the work.
