Douglas County Invitation to Bid on: Douglas County – Roof Replacement for the County Garage
Bid Opening Date and Time: Wednesday, June 17, 2020
Sealed bids for the construction of the Douglas County – Roof Replacement for the County Garage located at 15445 West Maple Road, Omaha, NE, are invited and will be received on or before the bid opening date, as per the project’s specifications.
Sealed bids to be addressed to Elizabeth Butler, City Clerk, LC-1, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, marked “BID ON: Douglas County – Roof Replacement for the County Garage”, must be in her office on or before 11:00 A.M. on the bid opening date at which time the bids will be opened and read by the City Clerk before the Bid Opening Committee and the public in LC-4, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center.
Project Description: This project will be divided into three separate areas.
1. Base Bid Area: Base Bid Area: Is approximately 15,470 square feet, will consist of removing the existing roof system down to the roof deck and installing a new adhered EPDM roof system. This work shall also include repointing existing mortar joints at the parapet walls and the replacement of clay coping tiles. Refer to the drawings for additional information.
2. Alternate No. 1 Area: Is approximately 8,008 square feet, will consist of removing the existing roof system down to the roof deck and installing a new adhered EPDM roof system. This work shall also include installing secondary overflow drains, repointing mortar joints at the parapet walls, removal of existing skylights, and the replacement of clay coping tiles. Refer to the drawings for additional information.
3. Alternate No. 2 Area: Is approximately 13,603 square feet, will consist of removing the existing roof system down to the roof deck and installing a new adhered EPDM roof system This work shall also include repointing mortar joints at the parapet walls and the replacement of clay coping tiles. Refer to the drawings for additional information.
Plans and Specifications may be examined and obtained at the office of the following printer: A & D Technical Supply Co., Inc. 4320 South 89th Street, Omaha NE 68127 (402) 592-4950, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders upon depositing the sum of $100.00. Any bidder upon returning the bid documents in good condition immediately following the public opening of bids shall be returned the deposit in full. All costs for the contract document production will be directly billed by the printer to the requesting company and not the issuer of this bidding opportunity.
A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. at the site, 15445 West Maple Road, Omaha, NE. All general contractors planning on submitting a bid are invited to attend. Masks are required for all attending.
