REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
For
Construction Engineering Services
The City of Omaha (City) Public Works Department is requesting qualifications of consulting engineering firms to perform construction engineering services for multiple projects to be identified for the 2025-2026 construction seasons. The City expects multiple consultants will be selected for these projects; however, the City reserves the right to select one or multiple firms to complete one or multiple projects. The City may also maintain a prioritized list of qualified consultants to perform similar work to be initiated before December 31, 2026.
Interested firms may request a detailed scope of work by emailing their requests to ae.selection@cityofomaha.org or by writing to the Public Works Department, Attention: Sylvia, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, NE 68183 prior to October 30, 2024.

Sealed bids are invited and will be received on or before the closing date/time. Bidding documents may be found on the new Douglas County Ionwave electronic bidding website: douglascountypurchasing.ionwave.net
Electronic bid submission: Douglas County requires all bidders to submit their bids electronically. Each respondent is responsible for taking the necessary steps to ensure their submission is received and complete by the listed closing date and time. The County is not responsible for technical difficulties and will not allow late submissions due to the same.

Bids will be opened and read by the City Clerk on the closing date/time before the Bid Opening Committee and the public in LC 4, Omaha Douglas Civic Center.
As evidence of good faith and guarantee that a contract will be entered into should an award be made thereon, a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid must accompany the bid. Failure to do so will be cause for rejection.
Douglas County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
