Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Omaha met on August 27, 2024 and passed and approved the following ordinances:

 

ORDINANCE NO. 43937

AN ORDINANCE to amend the official zoning map of the City of Omaha adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, by changing certain boundaries of the official zoning map of the City of Omaha in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, to rezone property located at 3006 and 3010 South 9th Street from R5(35)-Urban Family Residential District to R7-Multiple-Family Residential District (Medium-Density) (prope1ty is located within an NCE Overlay District).

Summary: The official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, changed and amended in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code so that: Lots 12 & 13, Barkers Subdivision, in Douglas County, Nebraska, is hereby rezoned from R5(35)-Urban Family Residential District to R7-Multiple-Family Residential District (Medium-Density).

ORDINANCE NO. 43938

AN ORDINANCE to amend the official zoning map of the City of Omaha adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, by changing certain boundaries of the official zoning map of the City of Omaha in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, to rezone property located at 8810 and 8820 Blondo Street from R2-Single-Family Residential District (Low-Density) and LC-Limited Commercial District to LC-Limited Commercial District.

Summary: The official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, changed and amended in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code so that: Lots l & 2, West Benson Replat 20, in Douglas County, Nebraska, is hereby rezoned from R2- Single-Family Residential District (Low-Density) and LC-Limited Commercial District to LC-Limited Commercial District.

ORDINANCE NO. 43939

AN ORDINANCE to amend the boundaries of the MCC-Major Commercial Corridor Overlay District, to incorporate into that district the property located at 8810 and 8820 Blondo Street; and to provide for an effective date.

Summary: In accordance with Sections 55-681 through 55-688 and 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, the official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, changed and amended so that: Lots l & 2, West Benson Replat 20, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska is hereby rezoned to be included in and incorporated into the MCC-Major Commercial Corridor Overlay District; provided, that the base zoning district for such property shall not be changed by this ordinance.

ORDINANCE NO. 43940

AN ORDINANCE awarding a contract to PCI Municipal Services, LLC for the operations, management and maintenance of certain City-owned parking facilities and on-street parking meters, at various locations in Downtown Omaha, for the period ending August 31, 2029, with up to three (3) additional two-year terms upon mutual agreement; to provide for payments from appropriations of more than one year in accordance with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter of 1956, as amended; to provide for payments from a specific account; and to provide an effective date hereof.

AN ORDINANCE to approve a Major Amendment to a Mixed Use District Development Agreement for MAPLE VALLEY, for the property located at 16510 Bedford Avenue, to waive the 10 percent minimum Office area within the Mixed Use district.

ORDINANCE NO. 43942

AN ORDINANCE approving a redevelopment and Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Redevelopment Agreement between the City of Omaha and Holy Name Housing Corporation, a Nebraska nonprofit corporation, to implement the N 38th Avenue City HOME Project Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Redevelopment Project Plan for a redevelopment project site located at 2232, 2253, 2257 and 2261 North 38th Avenue, which proposes for the new construction of four single family homes; the agreement authorizes the use of up to $198,382.00, which includes capitalized interest, in excess ad valorem taxes (TIF) generated by the development to help fund the cost of the project, and providing for an effective date.

Class “C” Liquor License for More Than Dumpling, Inc., dba “More Than Dumpling”, located at 5413 South 72nd Street, Suites 116 & 117.

 

Class “I” Liquor License for Los Famosos, LLC, dba “Los Famosos”, located at 1328 Park Avenue.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on September 10, 2024, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:

 

An ordinance declaring the necessity of acquiring, for use by the City of Omaha, the necessary private property for the purpose of constructing the Bensonvale Acres Street Improvement Phase 2, project identified as OPW 54705; providing that the City negotiate with the property owners for land acquisition, permanent easements and temporary construction easements, providing that if said parcel cannot be obtained by negotiation, condemnation proceedings be undertaken and completed.

 

An ordinance vacating an irregular portion of right-of-way located at the northeast corner of 8th Street and Riverfront Drive, in the City of Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska.

 

An ordinance to approve a purchase from Axon Enterprise, Inc., for twenty (20) licenses to Justice Premier for the City of Omaha Law Department Prosecution Division which includes licenses for Axon Evidence and Axon Investigate and training for those applications for a period of ten (10) years at a total cost of $290,264.00; with payment to be made from the City Law Department Fund 11111, Organization 104013, Account 43317 in the amount of $290,264.00.
