PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on September 29, 2026, at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183. The purpose of these hearings is to consider approval of:

 

Class “C” Liquor License for El Huerto Omaha, LLC, dba “El Castillo Lounge”, located at 1802 Vinton Street.

 

Class “C” Liquor License for Tequila Fiesta Liquor Store, LLC, dba “Bottles and Brews”, located at 10745 Mockingbird Drive.

 

Class “I” Liquor License for KOEI, LLC, dba “Hunan Fusion”, located at 2405 South 132nd Street.

 

Class “I” Liquor License for N.U.M Consulting, LLC, dba “Azure Cocktail Bar”, located at 11732-11736 West Dodge Road.

 

Class “I” Liquor License for VI OPCO, LLC, dba “Village Inn”, located at 10770 “M” Street.

 

Anyone interested in these matters or desiring to give evidence in support of or in protest against the issuance of such license should be in attendance at this meeting.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on September 22, 2026, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:

 

An ordinance vacating a portion of South 26th Street Right-of-Way adjacent to Lot 1, Progressive Protein Subdivision, an Addition to the City of Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska; providing for the reversion or transfer of the same.

 

An ordinance to approve a Major Amendment to a Mixed Use District Development Agreement for Ginger Creek, for the property located at 3605 North 165th Street, to permit an auto repair services use on Lot 1, Replat 2.

 

An ordinance approving a redevelopment and Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Redevelopment Agreement between the City of Omaha and 1053 Park Avenue, LLC, to implement the 1053 Park Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Redevelopment Project Plan for a redevelopment project site located at 1059 Park Avenue, which proposes the new construction of a new four story senior living apartment building. All apartments will be affordable one bedroom units; the agreement authorizes the use of up to $660,785.00, which includes capitalized interest, in excess ad valorem taxes (TIF) generated by the development to help fund the cost of the project.

 

An ordinance approving a redevelopment and Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Redevelopment Agreement between the City of Omaha and L1 VS, LLC, to implement the Vinton Silos Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Redevelopment Project Plan for a redevelopment project site located at 3417 Vinton Street, which proposes the demolition of a large decommissioned grain elevator and majority of the adjacent silos, with the remaining silos and their foundations to serve as the base for four new apartment buildings with 233 market rate apartment units in the complex; the agreement authorizes the use of up to $10,461,365.00, which includes capitalized interest, in excess ad valorem taxes (TIF) generated by the development to help fund the cost of the project.

 

An ordinance pursuant to Home Rule Charter Section 5.17 involving the payment of moneys from appropriations of more than one fiscal year, to enter into an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between the City of Omaha and the City of Friend, controlling the distribution of keno lottery proceeds; to provide that the City of Friend will receive 8.75% of the gross proceeds, the City of Omaha will receive 2% of the gross proceeds for state taxes and 1% of the gross proceeds to defray City administrative costs, and the remaining proceeds shall be retained by the City of Omaha; and to approve the Agreement from the date of execution through May 14, 2031.

 

An ordinance to approve a Lease Agreement between the City of Omaha, Nebraska, and the Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska, on behalf of the University of Nebraska at Omaha, for the lease of certain City-owned property located near UNO Nebraska Village and Baxter Arena, as more particularly described and depicted in the Lease Agreement, for parking and parking-related uses, together with temporary construction staging, storage, access, contractor parking, and related construction activities in connection with UNO’s Training Facility project; to provide for a term of fifty (50) years at annual rent of $1.00 per year; to restate, preserve, and extend UNO’s option to purchase the leased property as set forth in the Lease Agreement; to authorize the Mayor to execute and the City Clerk to attest the Lease Agreement and any related documents necessary or appropriate to implement the Lease Agreement.

 

An ordinance to approve the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between the Metropolitan Community College Area and the City of Omaha, Nebraska, on behalf of the Omaha Public Library, to provide a shared library automation service framework for a five-year term running from May 2026 through April 2031.
