PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES

Notice is hereby given by the City of Omaha, Nebraska (the “City”) of a public hearing to be held at 2:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the same may be heard, on September 9, 2025, in the Legislative Chambers, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska.

The purpose of the hearing is to provide a reasonable opportunity for interested individuals to express their views both orally and in writing regarding the advisability of the proposed issuance pursuant to a plan of financing of one or more series of general obligation bonds in an aggregate principal amount not exceeding $100,000,000 by the City, the proceeds of which bonds will be used to finance the rehabilitation, construction, improvement, equipping and furnishing, as and if necessary, of the CHI Center located at 455 North 10th Street in Omaha, Nebraska (the “CHI Center”), which CHI Center is operated by the Metropolitan Entertainment & Convention Authority, a Nebraska nonprofit corporation and an organization described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (the “Code”).

In accordance with Section 147(f) of the Code, if the bonds are to be issued, the City Council of the City (the “City Council”) must approve the issuance of the bonds after conducting a public hearing.  Following such public hearing, the City Council will consider for adoption a resolution granting public approval to the issuance of the bonds to finance improvements to the CHI Center for the purpose of complying with Section 147(f) of the Code.

At the time and place fixed for the public hearing, all interested persons will be given an opportunity to express their views orally and in writing on the proposed plan of finance for the issuance of bonds and the nature of the improvements to the CHI Center.

Persons wishing to make comments in writing about the proposed plan of financing shall do so within fourteen (14) days following the publication hereof to the City of Omaha, Nebraska, c/o Elizabeth Butler, Clerk, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska, 68183.  This Notice of Public Hearing is that notice required by Section 147(f) of the Code.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on September 9, 2025, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:

Res. that, the Final Plat transmitted herewith entitled Hansens Country Club Hills Replat 4, a subdivision inside city limits, located northeast of 72nd Street and Silver Valley Road, is hereby approved, and concurrently a portion of the existing plats entitled Hansens Country Club Hills and Hansens Country Clubs Replat, and described on said replat, is hereby vacated.

Res. that, the Subdivision Agreement among the City of Omaha, REI Funding Group, LLC and HCCH Owners Association, Inc., as recommended by the Mayor, is hereby approved. The Subdivision is to be known as Hansens Country Club Hills Replat 4 (Lots 1-13 and Outlot A) and is located northeast of 72nd Street and Silver Valley Road.
