NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on July 21, 2026, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:

An ordinance to approve the acceptance of and authorize disbursement over more than one fiscal year for a grant award agreement for Award #197-27-24DA3009 from the Nebraska Crime Commission on Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice (Nebraska Crime Commission) in the amount of $60,000.00, during the project period extending from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027 for the Omaha Police Department (OPD) SFY 2027 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program award; to implement a Criminal Justice Internship Program; to authorize payment from such grant funding and involving appropriations of more than one fiscal year in conformity with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter

AIR QUALITY CONTROL

NOTICE TO PUBLIC

Notice is given to the public according to Chapter 41 of the Omaha Municipal Code of the application of Constructors, Inc. to obtain a minor air emission construction permit for a hot mix asphaltic concrete plant at 10502 North 111th Street, Omaha. The potential emissions, in tons, for this project will be: TSP 16.2, PM10 8.0, PM2.5 4.5, SOx 2.9, NOx 13.6, VOC 10.9, CO 30.6, Ammonia 0.1, Formaldehyde 0.7, Toluene 0.7, POM 0.1, Total HAPs 2.1 and CO2e 9,045.

No significant impact on air quality is expected from the operation of this facility. Douglas County is in attainment with air quality standards for the listed pollutants. Approval is recommended with the condition that any pollution control equipment that may be necessary for compliance with the City of Omaha or Nebraska Air Pollution Control Rules and Regulations will be installed within 180 days after notification by the City of noncompliance.

All information submitted by the applicant and the proposed approval by Air Quality Control are available for inspection by the public at the office of Omaha Air Quality Control from July 15, 2026 to August 15, 2026. Comments received during that period will be considered. During that period the applicant, or any interested person or group of persons, may request or petition the Control Officer for a public hearing, and state the nature of the issues to be raised and all arguments and factual grounds supporting their position.  The Control Officer may hold a public hearing if the comments, requests, or petitions raise legal, policy or discretionary questions and significant public interest exists with respect to the application.  Comments should be mailed to:
