NOTICE TO PUBLIC
The City Council of the City of Omaha will have a Pre-Council Meeting at 10:30 A.M. in Conference Room 702, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, for the purpose of discussing the agenda items and briefing and discussion of public business; and a regular Council Meeting at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, in the Legislative Chambers of the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center in Omaha, Nebraska. This meeting will have video conference capability. Proposed agenda kept continually current shall be available for public inspection in the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center at the Office of the City Clerk, but the Council shall have the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting when convened. The video conference details and an agenda for the meeting is posted on the City of Omaha website at www.cityofomaha.org.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on June 9, 2020, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:
An ordinance levying a special tax and assessment on certain lots, part of lots and pieces of real estate in the City of Omaha to cover the cost of clearing snow and ice from sidewalks in Sidewalk Snow Removal District No. 2020-01.
An ordinance declaring the necessity of acquiring, for use by the City of Omaha, the necessary private property for the purpose of the Papillion Creek North 210 Project (CSO), identified as OPW 53320; providing that the City negotiate with the property owners for land acquisition, permanent easements and temporary construction easements, providing that if said parcel cannot be obtained by negotiation, condemnation proceedings be undertaken and completed.
An ordinance declaring the necessity of acquiring, for use by the City of Omaha, the necessary private property for the purpose of constructing the Sanitary Sewer Crossing Replacement at I 680 and Spaulding Plaza, project identified as OPW 53532; providing that the City negotiate with the property owners for land acquisition, permanent easements and temporary construction easements, providing that if said parcel cannot be obtained by negotiation, condemnation proceedings be undertaken and completed.
An ordinance declaring the necessity of acquiring, for use by the City of Omaha, the necessary private property for the purpose of constructing 156th Street – Pacific Street to Wycliff Drive, project identified as OPW 50157; providing that the City negotiate with the property owners for land acquisitions, permanent easements and temporary construction easements, providing that if said parcel cannot be obtained by negotiation, condemnation proceedings be undertaken and completed.
An ordinance to amend Omaha Municipal Code Sections 20-297, 20-306, and 34-144; to change requirements for notification of adjacent residences and businesses in certain instances when special event permits are requested, to insure that retail sales adjacent to a property when a special event permit has been issued are consistent with what the business normally sells, and to make clear right-of-way leases are not required for temporarily permitted uses; to repeal Sections 20-297, 20-306, and 34-144 as heretofore existing.
An ordinance (1) to approve an agreement between the City of Omaha and the Douglas County Board of Commissioners, Douglas County Administrative Office in the amount of $182,868.00; and (2) to authorize funding for such agreement from the City of Omaha’s FY 2019 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program, Award #2019-DJ-BX-0620, awarded by the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance; to provide funding for law enforcement equipment, prosecutor and corrections programs, and technology improvements and training; to authorize payment from such grant funding and involving appropriations of more than one year in conformity with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter.
An ordinance to approve and execute an Agreement involving the payment of money from appropriations of more than one year in accordance with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of Omaha, 1956, as amended, with SilverStone Group, Inc., for group benefit consulting services for a period from March 1, 2020 to and ending on February 28, 2023, with an option for two 1-year extensions beginning respectively on March 1, 2023, and March 1, 2024; to authorize the Mayor to execute and the City Clerk to attest to such Employee Benefits Fee for Services Agreement. (To authorize payment in accordance with the terms and conditions contained therein in the monthly amounts of $13,800.00 in Year 1 from approval to February 29, 2021, $14,200.00 in Year 2, and $14,600.00 in Year 3, and if the extension options are exercised, in the amounts of $15,000.00 in Year 4; and $15,400.00 in Year 5 from General Fund 11111, Organizations 105011-105015 for services related to Human Resource functions such as open enrollment, compliance and communication assistance; from General Fund 11111, Organizations 118018 (Active), 118014 (Retiree), 118015 (COBRA), Account 41331 for services related to health care; and from General Fund 11111, Organization 118017, Account 42135, for services related to workers’ compensation and related fields.)

Invitation for Bids
Office and Vacant Unit
Cleaning Service
OHA is issuing this IFB seeking qualified contractors to performing Office Cleaning, Vacant Units Cleaning and Trash-Outs for the Omaha Housing Authority.
Lot#1 Janitorial Services – Regularly Scheduled Services for Commercial Office Building located at 1823 Harney Street.
Lot #2 Vacant Units Cleaning-OHA regularly contracts for complete cleaning of vacant residential units in preparation leasing new residents.
Lot#3 Vacant Units Trash Outs removal of all, trash, old furniture, clothes, etc. anything which was left behind by the previous tenant.
Purpose of this IFB is to form a pool of qualified cleaning contractor which OHA may contact for Cleaning Services. That will work on a as need basis for all vacant OHA properties. In addition, OHA intend to award one contract for janitorial services required at their central office building.

OHA is issuing this RFQ seeking qualified, licensed and bonded entities to provide A/E services for design, specification, and construction management for multiple projects including upgraded lighting at many OHA’s properties, the reconstruction of buildings following a fire or other casualty loss, the replacement of windows in high-rises, the reconstruction of bathrooms in high-rises, etc., .
