PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on June 11, 2024, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:
An ordinance to amend Ordinance No. 43763, passed by City Council on April 2, 2024, which vacated Burt Street from the west right-of-way line of 24th Street to the east right-of-way line of 27th Plaza, Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska; to correct an error in which a Block number was inadvertently omitted from the legal description, providing for the reversion or transfer of the same.
An ordinance vacating 17th Street right-of-way located north of Nicholas Street to the northern terminus, in the City of Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska.
An ordinance to transfer a permanent easement in land to Reinhart Foodservice, L.L.C., for purposes of maintaining and operating a storm sewer drainage structure, and appurtenances thereto, upon City-owned land located at 1331 Ida Street in the City of Omaha; to authorize the Mayor to execute the Nonexclusive Permanent Sewer and Drainage Easement.
An ordinance approving the contract with West Fork LLC for OPW 54741, being the 2024 Concrete Diamond Grinding, Various Locations within the City of Omaha Project for an initial term of one (1) year, with the exclusive option by the City to extend the contract for four (4) additional one-year terms; to provide for payments from appropriations of more than one year in accordance with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter of 1956, as amended; to provide for payments from a specific account.
An ordinance to establish, pursuant to Section 40-251 of the Omaha Municipal Code, a Class “B” Flammable Liquids Storage District to be known as District No. B-220 at 6303 Q Street, as requested by Nebraska Horsemen’s Benevolent.
An ordinance to approve an amended Real Estate Purchase and Sale Agreement between the City of Omaha and Enterprise Industrial Park, LLC, for the transfer and sale of a portion of the property commonly known as 1410 Locust Street; the agreement authorizes the City of Omaha to determine the specific portion of property to be purchased, consisting of eighteen acres, and provides for the sum total consideration of $2,000,000.00.

Sealed bids are invited and will be received on or before the closing date/time. Bidding documents may be found on the new Douglas County Ionwave electronic bidding website: douglascountypurchasing.ionwave.net
Electronic bid submission: The City of Omaha requires all bidders to submit their bids electronically. Each respondent is responsible for taking the necessary steps to ensure their submission is received and complete by the listed closing date and time. The City/County is not responsible for technical difficulties and will not allow late submissions due to the same.

Bids will be opened and read by the City Clerk on the closing date/time before the Bid Opening Committee and the public in LC 4, Omaha Douglas Civic Center.
As evidence of good faith and guarantee that a contract will be entered into should an award be made thereon, a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid must accompany the bid. Failure to do so will be cause for rejection.
The City of Omaha reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
