PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on June 29, 2021, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:
An ordinance levying a special tax and assessment on all lots and pieces of real estate within Street Improvement District (SID) 6884, in the City of Omaha, to cover the cost of constructing and improving Nicholas Street, from North 87th Street west to its terminus, in Portland cement concrete.
An ordinance (1) to approve an agreement between the City of Omaha and Nebraska Preparedness Partnership in the amount of $89,500.00 and (2) to authorize the funding for such agreement from the FY 2020 State Homeland Security Grant (SHSG) Award #EMW-2020-SS-00099-S01, awarded by the Nebraska Emergency Management Agency, to provide enhanced security of critical infrastructure assets as prioritized by critical infrastructure operators through public-private partnerships, coordinated plan implementation, and resource management; to authorize payment from such grant funding and involving appropriations of more than one year in conformity with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter.
An ordinance to provide for approving an Interlocal Agreement involving appropriations of more than one year in conformity with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter with Douglas County, Nebraska for booking and detention of pre-adjudication juveniles under the age of eighteen (18) years with a cost of $75,000.00 per year for two years.
An ordinance to establish pursuant to Section 40-251 of the Omaha Municipal Code a new Class “A” Flammable Liquids Storage District to be known as District No. A-161 at 4428 South 140th Street, as requested by Timothy M Ison of Avenue 26 Holdings LLC for 4428 South 140th Street.
An ordinance extending the limits of the City of Omaha over certain land in Douglas County, Nebraska, and incorporating the same into and making the same a part of the City of Omaha, Whispering Ridge West (SID 549), located southeast of 177th and West Maple Road.
An ordinance extending the limits of the City of Omaha over certain land in Douglas County, Nebraska, and incorporating the same into and making the same a part of the City of Omaha, Northridge (SID 560) and a portion of the Grove/Village Pointe Lodging (SID 438), located northeast of 186th and Pacific Streets.
An ordinance extending the limits of the City of Omaha over certain land in Douglas County, Nebraska, and incorporating the same into and making the same a part of the City of Omaha, The Villas of Omaha at Butler Ridge and adjacent land, located northwest and southwest of 156th and Butler Streets.

NOTICE TO PUBLIC
The City Council of the City of Omaha will have a Pre-Council Meeting at 10:30 A.M. in the Conference Room, LC-1, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, for the purpose of discussing the agenda items and briefing and discussion of public business; and a regular Council Meeting at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, in the Legislative Chambers of the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center in Omaha, Nebraska. This meeting will have video conference capability. Proposed agenda kept continually current shall be available for public inspection in the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center at the Office of the City Clerk, but the Council shall have the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting when convened. The video conference details and an agenda for the meeting is posted on the City of Omaha website at www.cityofomaha.org.
