“NOTICE TO PUBLIC”
The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Omaha Public Library will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 5:00 P.M. at the Benson Branch Library, 6015 Binney Street. Proposed agenda kept continually current is available in the Administrative Office at the W. Dale Clark Library and on the Library’s website at www.omahalibrary.org. The Board reserves the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature at said public meeting when convened. Requests for sign language interpreters or other alternative formats will require a minimum of 48 hours advance notice. PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on June 16, 2020, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:
An ordinance to approve a Major Amendment to a Mixed Use District Development Agreement for Torrey Square, located at 3833 North 153rd Street, to allow for the construction of a 27 unit apartment building on Lot 1, Torrey Square Replat 1, between the City of Omaha and Mark Sanford, providing site development standards.
An ordinance to accept the bid of Spin Linen Management in the total amount of $53,664.00 to provide towel/linen service at the four (4) 18-Hole Golf Courses for the Golf Division of the Parks, Recreation and Public Property Department; for a cost of $86.00/per week for fifty-two (52) weeks, with the option to extend on the same terms and conditions for an additional two (2) year term, if the City exercises the option to do so.
An ordinance to approve the acceptance of and authorize disbursement over more than one fiscal year from the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance, FY 2020 Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding (CESF) Program, Award #2020-VD-BX-0479, in the amount of $1,151,084.00, during the project period extending from January 20, 2020 to January 31, 2022; to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus; to authorize payment from such grant funding and involving appropriations of more than one year in conformity with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter.
An ordinance authorizing the acceptance of the bid of Alexander Lawn & Landscape, Inc. in the annual amount of $19,502.00, involving appropriations of more than one year as provided in 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter, to provide grounds maintenance services at various police facilities for the period of three years with the option to extend for three one-year terms at the same bid price; to authorize the Finance Department to make payments from a specified account to Alexander Lawn & Landscape, Inc. for the cost of grounds maintenance services in accordance with the bid.
An ordinance to establish pursuant to Section 40-251 of the Omaha Municipal Code a new Class “B” Flammable Liquids Storage District to be known as District No. B-205 at 10626 I Street, as requested by Robert Alexander of Old Dominion Freight Line for 10626 I Street.
