CITY OF OMAHA
PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
COMMUNITY INNOVATION CAMPUS
REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT PLAN
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will meet and hold a public hearing on May 17, 2022, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183 for the purpose of hearing testimony for:
Community Innovation Campus Redevelopment Project Plan.
Applicant: Omaha Economic Development Corporation
Location: 1127 North 20th Street
The redevelopment project proposes to rehabilitate a vacant 19,060 square foot building for use as a community kitchen and dietary call center. The kitchen will serve the community nutrition needs of CHI’s existing facilities.
The Planning Board recommended approval of this Redevelopment Project Plan at the January 5, 2022 public hearing.
The Redevelopment Project Plan authorizes the City’s participation in the redevelopment of this project site through the allocation of additional TIF in an amount up to $385,000.00, plus accrued interest. TIF loan proceeds will be used to offset eligible expenses such as acquisition, site work, building rehabilitation construction costs, architectural and engineering costs, and other public improvements as required. The total estimated project costs are $8,570,560.00, but are subject to change as final costs come in.
A copy of said plan is available for public inspection in the City Clerk’s Office.
Anyone interested in this matter should be in attendance.
