Dockless Shared Scooter Pilot Program
The City of Omaha conducted an initial pilot for the regulation of the operation and use of shared electric scooters in the spring of 2019. The outcome of this initial pilot showed that continued evaluation is needed to fully determine the long term viability of Shared Scooter use in Omaha, Nebraska. Therefore, a continued second Pilot Period will be launched in the spring of 2020. The 2020 Pilot Period will help the City further determine whether Shared Scooters support the City’s Master Plan goals and implement some additional guidelines, regulation, and best practices for this mode of transportation.
Interested firms may request a detailed scope of work by emailing their requests to ae.selection@cityofomaha.org or by writing to the Public Works Department, Attention: Sylvia, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, NE 68183 prior to April 29, 2020.
