Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Omaha met on February 27, 2024 and passed and approved the following ordinances:
ORDINANCE NO. 43708
AN ORDINANCE to approve a PUR-Planned Unit Redevelopment Overlay District, located at 3204 North 16th Street, to approve the Development Plan, and to provide for an effective date.
Summary: In accordance with Sections 55-595 through 55-600 of the Omaha Municipal Code, a PUR-Planned Unit Redevelopment Overlay District and the Development Plan, attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved, for the following described land in Douglas County, Nebraska: Lot 5, Block 24, Kountze Place, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska.

ORDINANCE NO. 43711
AN ORDINANCE to amend the official zoning map of the City of Omaha adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, by changing certain boundaries of the official zoning map of the City of Omaha in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, to rezone property located at 1213 Jones Street from DS-Downtown Service District to CBD-Central Business District (property is within an ACI-Areas of Civic Importance Overlay District).
Summary: The official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, changed and amended in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code so that: CITY LOTS LOT 3 BLOCK 194 E 58 FT N 1/2, in Douglas County, Nebraska, is hereby rezoned from DS-Downtown Service District to CBD-Central Business District.

AN ORDINANCE to amend the official zoning map of the City of Omaha adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, by changing certain boundaries of the official zoning map of the City of Omaha in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, to rezone property located at 7802 Hascall Street from DR-Development Reserve District to R4-Single-Family Residential District (High-Density).

AN ORDINANCE to approve the acceptance of and authorize the disbursement over more than one fiscal year from the FY 2023 State Homeland Security Grant (SHSG) Award #EMW-2023-SS-00047-S01 and budget in the amount of four hundred and sixty-eight thousand four hundred fifty-eight dollars and eighty cents ($468,458.80) from the Nebraska Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), during the award period of September 1, 2023 through August 31, 2026, to provide law enforcement and emergency response communities in Douglas, Sarpy, and Washington Counties with enhanced capabilities for detecting, deterring, disrupting, and preventing acts of terrorism; to authorize payment from such grant funding and involving appropriations of more than one year in conformity with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter; and, to provide the effective date hereof.

AN ORDINANCE to enter into a Purchase Agreement with Bell Textron, Inc. for training services for the Omaha Police Department Air Support Unit staff, for a period of two years, involving the payment of money from appropriations of more than one (1) fiscal year in accordance with Sections 5.16 and 5.17 of the Omaha Home Rule Charter of the City of Omaha, 1956, as amended; to provide for the payment to Bell Textron, Inc. in the amount of $136,900.00 for year 2024, and $170,800.00 for year 2025, for a total of $307,700.00; and to provide the effective date hereof.

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS
CITY OF OMAHA
MILLWORK DISTRICT PARKING GARAGE
The City of Omaha Public Works Department is requesting Statements of Qualifications from design professional firms (Consultants) to provide services to advise and design a proposed parking garage located in the Millwork District. Services will include preparing Schematic Design documents for the definition of project scope and budget, Design Development, and Construction Documents for construction bidding. Following successful bidding, the selected Consultant is anticipated to be retained to provide Construction Administration services. The project will generally include civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and landscaping elements to construct the proposed parking garage. This project will follow the design-bid-build delivery method.
