CITY OF OMAHA
PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
AMENDMENT TO THE HDR AKSARBEN VILLAGE ZONE 6
REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT PLAN
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will meet and hold a public hearing on April 26, 2022, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183 for the purpose of hearing testimony for:
Amendment to the HDR Aksarben Village
Zone 6 Redevelopment Project Plan.
Applicant: Noddle Bradford VI, LLC
Location: Northeast of 67th and Frances Streets
The amendment proposes to make additional, major public improvements in Aksarben Village Zone 6 particularly to the north of the HDR Headquarters as well as the area between the headquarters and the associated parking garage knows as the Inner Rail. These improvements provide further enhancements of the existing public improvements such as a public pop-up park, public dog park, pickle ball courts, resurfacing and enhancements of the public open area with the existing airstream trailer/entertainment area, public outdoor entertainment canopy, greenhouse, and volleyball courts.
The Planning Board recommended approval of this Redevelopment Project Plan at the March 2, 2022 public hearing.
The Redevelopment Project Plan authorizes the City’s participation in the redevelopment of this project site through the allocation of additional TIF in an amount up to $1,236,586.00, resulting in a total revised TIF allocation of up to $16,237,855.00, plus accrued interest for the entire project. TIF loan proceeds will be used to offset eligible, public improvement expenses such as those referenced above. The total estimated project costs for the additional public improvements are in excess of $1,800,000.00.
A copy of said plan is available for public inspection in the City Clerk’s Office.
Anyone interested in this matter should be in attendance.
