PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on October 21, 2025, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:
An ordinance to rezone property located southwest of 38th Avenue and Dewey Avenue from R6-Low-Density Multiple-Family Residential District and R7-Medium-Density Multiple-Family Residential District to R7-Medium-Density Multiple-Family Residential District (property is located within an ACI-Overlay District).
Res. that, the Preliminary Plat entitled West Omaha Replat Eight, a minor plat inside city limits, located southwest of 38th Avenue and Dewey Avenue (property is located within an ACI-Overlay District), is hereby, is hereby accepted; and, the preparation of the final plat of this subdivision is hereby authorized.
Res. that, the Final Plat transmitted herewith entitled West Omaha Replat Eight, a minor plat inside city limits, located southwest of 38th Avenue and Dewey Avenue (property is located within an ACI-Overlay District), is hereby approved, and concurrently a portion of the existing plat West Omaha, and described on said replat, is hereby vacated.
Res. that, the Subdivision Agreement among the City of Omaha and Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska, by and on behalf of its administrative unit, the University of Nebraska Medical Center, as recommended by the Mayor, is hereby approved. The Subdivision is to be known as West Omaha Replat Eight (Lots 1-2) and is located southwest of 38th Avenue and Dewey Avenue.
An ordinance to rezone property located southwest of 41st and Farnam Streets from GO-General Office District and GC-General Commercial District to GO-General Office District.
An ordinance to rezone property located southwest of 41st and Farnam Streets from GO-General Office District and GC-General Commercial District to TOD-2-MX-Transit Oriented Development District Mixed Use.
An ordinance to rescind the ACI–Areas of Civic Importance Overlay District for property located southwest of 41st and Farnam Streets.
Res. that, the Final Plat transmitted herewith entitled Briggs Place Replat 14, a minor plat inside city limits, located southwest of 41st and Farnam Streets, is hereby approved, and concurrently a portion of the existing plat Highland Place and Briggs Place, and described on said replat, is hereby vacated.
Res. that, the Subdivision Agreement between the City of Omaha and the Nebraska Medical Center, as recommended by the Mayor, is hereby approved. The Subdivision is to be known as Briggs Place Replat 14 (Lots 1-2) and is located southwest of 41st and Farnam Streets.
An ordinance to rezone property located northwest of Hamilton Street and Military Avenue from GI-General Industrial District to CC-Community Commercial District.
An ordinance to amend the boundaries of the ACI-Area of Civic Importance Overlay District, to incorporate into that district the property located northwest of Hamilton Street and Military Avenue.
An ordinance to approve a PUR-Planned Unit Redevelopment Overlay District, located northwest of Hamilton Street and Military Avenue, to approve the Development Plan.
Res. that, the Special Use Permit application submitted by 500 Skyline, LLC for a Special Use Permit to allow Automotive sales in the CC District, located northwest of Skyline Drive and West Dodge Road, is hereby approved and the Permits and Inspection Division is directed to issue the necessary permit therefor, provided the conditions set out in Exhibit “A” of the referenced application, conditions set out in Exhibit “B”, and all applicable local or state statutes, ordinances or regulations are complied with. The proposed Special Use Permit has been reviewed and evaluated pursuant to, and meets each of, the criteria set forth in Section 55-885 of the Omaha Municipal Code.
