I. Call Meeting to Order- President Allyson
Slobotski called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M., noting the Open Meetings Act is posted on the south wall of the Board Room.
II. Pledge of Allegiance
III. Public Forum- Eight members of the
public were present to speak.
IV. Consent Agenda- (Note: Items on the
consent agenda are considered routine and will be enacted under one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items at the meeting unless a Board Member requests an item removed from the agenda for separate action.)
MOTION PASSED: Motion to approve the
following Consent Agenda items (or as presented): - Approval of Agenda - Approval of Minutes of the Monday, May 8, 2023, Regular Meeting - Approve May Claims for Payment - Personnel: Resignation(s) and Hiring of Personnel, passed with a motion by Steve Shannon and a second by Kara Neuverth. V. Items Removed from the Consent
Agenda for Separate Action- No items were removed from the Consent Agenda.
VI. Reports- Elementary, Middle School, High
School, Student Services, Curriculum, Superintendent and committees presented reports to the Board. Coordinator Report- Facilities. Mr. Edens reviewed various projects with the Board. Lobbyist Julia Plucker gave Dr. Haack reports to review with the Board. Spotlight- Activities. Mr. Kessell presented information regarding sports and activities.
VII. Unfinished Business
VII.A. Discuss, Consider, and Take
Action on Curriculum and Personnel Proposals- The Committee moved to recommend for approval middle school and high school diversity/multicultural club sponsorship, high school prism club sponsorship, HS musical director (extra duty), 1.0 FTE elementary teacher, 1.0 FTE administrative assistant for district CIA, and 5.0 FTE paraprofessionals - TBA and Mentor Program stipends.
MOTION PASSED: Motion to accept the
recommendations by the Curriculum and Americanism Committee and administration for 2023-24 curriculum and personnel modifications and additions as outlined in the June 1, 2023, Curriculum and Americanism Committee Report and pending 2023-24 budget approval, passed with a motion by Kristi Ryan and a second by Kara Neuverth. VII.B. Discuss, Consider, and Take Action
on Construction Change Orders- DLR Group representative, Mike Berg was present to discuss change orders for the construction projects.

items listed for Construction (High School Stadium/Softball Field) project credits of $73,387.00, accept glazed tile work for a credit - $73,387.00, passed with a motion by Tim Dreessen and a second by Jeremy Dick. VII.C. Discuss and Consider Summer
Maintenance and Repair Projects- Mr. Edens, Coordinator of District Facilities, reviewed a spreadsheet with a list of several projects for the summer.

Middle School and High School Handbook Revisions- The handbooks will be revised and will need Board approval no later than August.
