If we’re honest, it was only a matter of time: Christmas is officially canceled this year.

At least it is for the 2020 Barristers Christmas Show organized by the Omaha Barristers Club.

Barristers President Doug Amen announced the show won’t go this year due to the continued pandemic in Douglas County.

“I was looking to make this email a little more light-hearted but with everything that has happened this year and continues to happen, I just want to quickly thank everyone that consulted with me this year,” Amen said in an email to club members. “As 2020 continues, please be safe. Listen to health officials and not politicians. Take care of yourselves and your families.”

Amen added, “We will see you in 2021.”
