A shortage of cocoa beans has led to a near shutdown of processing plants in Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana, the two countries responsible for 60% of global production. With chocolate makers around the world reliant on west Africa for cocoa, there is significant concern about the impact on the prices of chocolate and the livelihood of farmers. Cocoa researcher Michael Odijie explains the reasons for the shortage.

CHICAGO (AP) — Don't have enough airline miles for that free flight? United Airlines is now letting people pool and share their frequent-flyer points with family and friends, a feature currently offered by some smaller carriers.
United said Thursday that a “pool leader” can pick up to four other people to set up a joint account in its MileagePlus program.

Evaluating 100 cities, all with populations of 200,000 or higher, they split their metrics into 4 categories: Mental Heath, Affordability, Remote Work, and Commute.

A study by SonderCare, a home hospital bed provider, looked into the states offering the best elder care. Using the number of nursing homes and respite facilities per 100,000 citizens, occupancy rates in the last year, private and semi-private nursing home monthly costs, and the percent of nursing homes with 0 deficiencies, all 50 states were compared.
