Notice is hereby given that the OMAHA CITY CLERK will receive sealed bids until WEDNESDAY, JUNE 16, 2021 AT 11:00 A.M. FOR DOUGLAS CO. PROJECT NO. C-28(587) 117TH STREET AND STATE STREET IMPROVEMENTS (GRADING, PAVING, AND EROSION CONTROL).
Bids are to be submitted on the proposal forms and in accordance with plans and specifications available at www.questcdn.com. You may download the digital plan documents for $15.00 by inputting QuestCDN Project #7849671 on the website’s Project search page. Please contact QuestCDN.com at (952) 233-1632 or info@questcdn.com for assistance in free membership registration, downloading, and working with this digital project information. Alternatively, paper copies of the plans and specifications are available at the office of the Douglas County Engineer, 15505 West Maple Road, Omaha, Nebraska. The cost of the paper plans and specifications is $40.00 plus $2.80 tax, and is non-refundable. Checks for the paper plans and specifications should be made payable to the Douglas County Engineer.
As evidence of good faith in submitting a proposal for this work, the bidder must file with his proposal, cash, certified check or bid bond, made payable to Douglas County in the sum of 5% of his bid, all of which shall be placed in a sealed envelope so marked as to indicate its contents without being opened. This envelope is to be placed in another envelope, which shall be sealed and addressed to the County Clerk.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Surety Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract.
The Board of Douglas County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
Bids will publicly be opened and read aloud in the City/County Legislative Chambers of the Omaha Douglas Civic Center on WEDNESDAY, JUNE 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.

You are invited to bid on a combined contract, including general, mechanical, and electrical work for the COVID-19 HVAC Upgrades Phase II at the Douglas County Health Center Campus.
Bids shall be on a Lump Sum basis for Base Bid and Alternate Bids as indicated on the Bidding Documents.
The Owner would like substantial completion of the project within 17 weeks from contract award including all accepted alternates.
Anticipated award of contract and construction commencement date is July 5, 2021.
Douglas County will receive sealed bids until 11:00 am Central Time on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at the LC1 Offices of the City Clerk, Omaha – Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam St., Omaha, NE 68183-0011. Bids received after this time will not be accepted.
A tour of the existing building and a pre-bid conference will be held at the building on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at 10:00 am. Interested parties are to meet by the Douglas County Health Center Main Lobby. Location shown on cover sheet of drawings. Bidders are encouraged to attend walkthrough. Attending parties must wear masks and follow all CDC social distancing requirements.
Any interpretation or corrections to contract documents arising from bid questions will be made by addendum only.

There will be a non-mandatory, pre-bid meeting on Monday, June 14, 2021, at 1:30 pm. The meeting will be held at the N.P. Dodge Park Marina, 11001 John J. Pershing Drive. Meeting will be held rain or shine.
General Contractor shall self-perform with its own workforce a minimum of thirty percent (30%) of the total cost of the Contract. Purchasing of materials does not qualify as self-performing the Work.
This project has an SEB reserve for ESB and SB Tier 1 & 2 categories for 0% of the total bid amount. For additional information see Specification Section 00 20 00, ‘Instructions to Bidders”, Part 2.16, “Utilization of Small and Emerging Small Business”.
