AN ORDINANCE to approve a Major Amendment to a Mixed Use District Development Agreement between the City of Omaha and Hy-Vee, Inc., for Pacific Springs Place, located at 17909 Barker Court, to allow a proposed Auto Repair Services use on Lot 6, providing site development standards; and to provide for an effective date.

AN ORDINANCE approving the rescindment of Ordinance No. 26821 passed on May 22, 1973, originally closing the area of vehicular travel on all of Charles Street from the West right-of-way line of 16th Street to the East right-of-way line of 19th Street, and 18th Street from the South right-of-way line of Charles Street, 58 feet South, and 17th Street from, the North right-of-way line of Charles Street, 60 feet North, and the North 30 feet of the North-South alley between 18th and 19th Streets South of Charles Street, and the South 120 feet of the North-South alley between 17th and 18th Streets North of Charles Street, and the North 60 feet of the North-South alley between 19th and 20th Streets South of Charles Street, located in the City of Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska and creating a mall improvement district.

AN ORDINANCE to approve the Tri-Mutual Aid Fire Fighters Association Interlocal Agreement for an initial term of 10 years, which Tri-Mutual Aid Fire Fighters Association is made up of the communities and rural/suburban/special fire protection districts within Douglas County, Nebraska, Sarpy County, Nebraska, Cass County, Nebraska, Washington County, Nebraska, Dodge County, Nebraska, Saunders County, Nebraska, and Pottawattamie County, Iowa for the creation of a system of mutual assistance; to provide and allow for reimbursement when services and assistance rendered extend beyond the agreed upon time; and to provide for an effective date hereof.

AN ORDINANCE to approve a contract by and between the City of Omaha, a Municipal Corporation, and Armored Knights, Inc., for the collection, transportation, and delivery of City funds in the amount of $67,425.20 annually, involving the payment of money from appropriations of more than one year as provided in Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of Omaha 1956, as amended, for a period of three years extendable for two additional one year periods at the same price at the option of the City; payment is to be made from General Fund 11111, Organization 119014, Account 42252; and to provide an effective date hereof.

ORDINANCE NO. 42441
AN ORDINANCE providing for an amendment to the levy of a general business occupation tax as requested by the property owner(s) of the Landmark Building, Avaden Landmark, LLC; and related matters.
Summary: Pursuant to Neb. Rev. Stat. Chapter 18, Article 21, as amended (the “Act”), Chapter 19 of the Omaha Municipal Code, and Ordinance No. 41592, the City Council established an enhanced employment area for the purpose of paying all or any part of the costs and expenses of a redevelopment project pursuant to the approved Landmark Building Tax Increment Financing Redevelopment Project Plan, which, in part, provides for the conversion of six floors of a significantly vacant, 15-story, Class “A” Office building known as the Landmark Building into an upscale boutique hotel, a two-story restaurant with rooftop seating, courtyard and façade improvements, and other improvements (“Redevelopment Project”) within the area described on Exhibit “A” of Ordinance No. 41592 (“Enhanced Employment Area”).

SPECIAL ORDINANCE NO. 10291
AN ORDINANCE levying a special tax assessment for cutting and clearing weeds, grass and worthless vegetation in accordance with Sections 18-21 through 18-30 of the Omaha Municipal Code on certain lots in the City of Omaha.
Summary: That said cost of weeds, grass and worthless vegetation cutting work by the City of Omaha during the interim date, January 1, 2020 through January 12, 2021, on Group No. 2021-03, said cost being the sum of twenty five thousand one hundred sixty nine dollars ($25,169.00), be and the same hereby is levied and assessed in proportion and according to incurred costs and special benefits by reason of said improvement upon the following described lots and real estate within the City of Omaha, as shown by the generally recognized maps, plats and records on file in the office of the City Engineer of the City, said cost being so levied on said lots and real estate, respectively, as set forth as follows.
