Notification of Project Meeting: 

Request for Information

The City of Omaha would like to notify its intent to invite contractor involvement in an informational meeting for the upcoming OPW 53753 Nicholas Street Sewer Extension Phase 3B Project.  The project boundary is Charles Street to Pinkney Street, and between 16th Street and Florence Boulevard.

The OPW 53753 Nicholas Street Sewer Extension Phase 3B Project includes the construction of approximately 13,700 LF of storm sewer pipe ranging from 15-inch to 84-inch in size, 100 storm inlets and 40 storm sewer manholes.  The project includes the construction of approximately 6,925 LF of sanitary sewer pipe ranging from 8-inch to 12-inch in size and 24 sanitary sewer manholes.  The project includes the removal of all pavement within the right of way and the construction of approximately 9,000 SY of 7-inch concrete pavement, 41,000 SY of 10-inch concrete pavement, 120,000 SF of 6-inch concrete sidewalk and curb ramps and 3,000 SY of 7-inch concrete driveway pavement.  Disturbed landscape areas will be fully restored with seeding, rolled erosion control, sodding and soil restoration.

The project also includes a joint contract with Metropolitan Utilities District for water infrastructure replacement.

General contractors are invited to schedule an informational project overview meeting with the City’s project team during the week of December 14th to December 18th.
