NOTICE OF HEARINGS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Planning Board of the Village of Waterloo will hold the following hearings on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at 6:00 pm:

- to discuss an application for a Final Plat for Aspen Lake, a Subdivision at the southeast corner of 252nd and West Maple Road.

- to discuss an application for a Final Plat for Arvada, a subdivision 

- to discuss an Ordinance annexing and extending the corporate limits of the Village of Waterloo, Nebraska to include Parcel # 0106840001 and Parcel # 0106850000 

- to discuss an application for zoning change for Aspen Lake, a Subdivision at the southeast corner of 252nd and West Maple Road to change from mixed use AG (agriculture)/R-1 (low-density residential)/BC (commercial) to mixed use R-2 (medium-density residential)/BC (commercial)

These hearings, which are open to the public, will be held at the Village Office located at 509 S Front Street, Waterloo, Nebraska.

VILLAGE OF WATERLOO

SPECIAL MEETING PROCEEDINGS

August 19, 2026

The Board of Trustees of the Village of Waterloo met for a Special Meeting on August 19, 2026 at 1:30pm in the Village Office, 509 S. Front Street. Present were Chairperson Travis Harlow and Trustees Rotert, Ewing, and Sass. Deputy Clerk Warren was also present. Trustee Rochford was absent.

Chairperson Harlow called the meeting to order at 1:33pm and stated the location of the Open Meetings Act. Notice of the meeting was duly exercised and mailed per the bylaws.

The following motions were approved:

- To approve Resolution 08-19-26-01 to approve employment of Jared Bohnenkamp as Maintenance Supervisor.

- To approve Resolution 08-19-26-02 to approve employment of Lauren Polak as full-time police officer.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 1:37 pm. The next regular meeting is scheduled for September 14, 2026 at 7:00 pm.

VILLAGE OF WATERLOO

EMERGENCY MEETING PROCEEDINGS

August 28, 2026

The Board of Trustees of the Village of Waterloo met for an Emergency Meeting on August 28, 2026 at 2:15pm in the Village Office, 509 S. Front Street. Present were Chairperson Travis Harlow and Trustees Rotert, Ewing, Rochford, and Sass. Deputy Clerk Warren and Village Attorney Desirae Solomon were also present.

Chairperson Harlow called the meeting to order at 2:15pm and stated the location of the Open Meetings Act. Notice of the meeting was duly exercised and mailed per the bylaws.

The following motions were approved:

- To approve temporary contract consulting with Al Vacanti at a rate of $2400/week for up to 4 weeks as needed. The contract will be renewable and the board authorizes Village Attorney Desirae Solomon to negotiate said contract with Al Vacanti.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 2:19 pm. The next regular meeting is scheduled for September 14, 2026 at 7:00 pm.

September 4, 2026

The Board of Trustees of the Village of Waterloo met for a Special Meeting on September 4, 2026 at 4:00pm in the Village Office, 509 S. Front Street. Present were Chairperson Travis Harlow and Trustees Rotert, Ewing, Rochford, and Sass. Deputy Clerk Warren and Village Attorney Desirae Solomon were also present.

Chairperson Harlow called the meeting to order at 4:00pm and stated the location of the Open Meetings Act. Notice of the meeting was duly exercised and mailed per the bylaws.

- The board discussed Village operations and upcoming priorities.

- Sass made a motion, seconded by Rochford, to enter executive session at 4:10pm to discuss possible litigation involving the Village of Waterloo and to protect the attorney client privilege; Furthermore, the executive session is necessary for the protection of the public interest and for the prevention of needless injury to the reputation of an individual.

- Rochford motioned to exit executive session at 4:44pm, seconded by Rotert.

- A meeting was scheduled for September 14, 2026 at 6:00pm for a budget workshop.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 4:51 p.m. The next regular meeting is scheduled for September 14, 2026 at 7:00 pm.
